MINIPOP
San Francisco-based band Minipop mixes soaring vocals and melodies into layered guitars and keyboards to create a lush brand of dream pop. After a chance meeting between Tricia Kanne and Matthew Swanson, five years since they had previously parted ways, the two began writing “mini” pop songs and the band was born and started playing in and around San Francisco in 2005. Minipop broke into the blossoming Bay Area music scene and began to have an immediate impact with kids throughout the City. Upon finishing their debut full-length album A New Hope, their new track “Like I Do” immediately caught the ear of LIVE 105 Music Director Aaron Axelsen. As finalists in the Not So Silent Night Local Band Contest in 2005, the members of Minipop are seasoned veterans when it comes to LIVE 105 music showcases and make a great addition to BFD 2007. |
