Street To Nowhere has come a long way from the early high school days as the pop-punk mainstay of Oakland’s L3: Live, Loud, and Local concert series, to the total abandonment of lead singer Dave Smallen. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, Dave persevered. He continued under the name Street To Nowhere as a solo acoustic artist and won himself a spot on the BFD 2004 local stage. Dave picked up more members and Street To Nowhere ‘the band’ returned to headline the local stage of BFD 2006, which was followed by the release of their Capitol Records debut Charmingly Awkward.
